The QST2002RT3 Analyzer is a reliability test system for characterizing the performance of Magnetoresistive Heads (HGAs) while being stressed at temperatures up to 250C or down to -20C.

The QST2002RT3 can simultaneousl;y stress and test in-situ up to 12 HGA's at user-defined temperatures, ideally for analyzing life prediction on a large sample of HGAs. The mode of operation is to apply V/I Bias stress to the MR sensor (or additionally any combination of Bias stress, Write stress, Magnetic Field Stress, DFH Stress, and Bias Pulsing stress) at elevated temperatures for an extended period of time, then perform standard QST and AC Channel measurements as metrics of performance degradation.

QST2002RT3 measurement capability includes Transfer Curve and Resistance analysis, and the most advanced magnetic instability detection system available. These measurements, performed through our proprietary AC measurement channel, include Popcorn Noise, AC Noise, and our patented and industry standard Spectral Maximum Amplitude Noise (SMAN) analysis.

Our proprietary software supports a full array of engineering and production interfaces, data logging, grading, and normalization, and allows for customers to develop their own software modules if so desired.

A small footprint allows the QST2002RT3 to operate in virtually any environment.  Two versions of thermal control are available, Hot (ambient to 250C) or Hot/Cold (-20C to +80C).  The Hot/Cold system also includes a humidity-controlled environment.
